Illustrative demonstration β€” not a live auction. Dealers bid only after our team approves their dealership and they sign in with two-factor authentication.

Where the stock comes from

Private sellers register a vehicle by VIN and answer for its condition before you ever see it. Everything inside your buying area reaches one account, so appraisal and bidding happen in the same place rather than across a dozen sources.

What founding dealers get

  • First look at private-seller cars in Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego.
  • No platform fee on your first completed purchase.
  • A direct line to the founder.
  • Your dealership listed as a founding dealer, if you want it to be.

What it costs

Nothing to join and nothing to bid. Our platform fee, the Acquisition Fee, applies only when a purchase completes, from our published fee schedule β€” shown before you commit.

How a purchase works

  1. 01

    Bid

Each car runs in a 23-hour auction. Set your maximum once and proxy bidding raises your bid only as far as it needs to, up to that maximum; nobody else ever sees it. The seller's reserve stays private.

  2. 02

    Win

When the auction closes and the seller accepts, the sale is agreed and recorded: price, terms and the photos you bid on. It is binding β€” the seller cannot withdraw and you cannot walk away. The one exception is a change both sides agree to: after an inspection you may propose a revised price, and it takes effect only if the seller accepts it.

  3. 03

    Optional inspection

Add an inspection by an independent inspection company before the car moves. It is optional and paid by you, and its report is evidence for the arbitration window, never a condition of the sale. Optional pre-transport inspection with an independent inspection company is planned. Pricing and booking availability will be confirmed before purchase.

  4. 04

    Title and payment

Under our proposed terms you would fund the purchase through our payment and title partner, which would handle the payment and the title transfer before the car changes hands. That arrangement is not in place yet. We’re working towards payment processing through our payment and title partner. Final payment arrangements will be confirmed before transactions open.

  5. 05

    Arbitration window

For 48 hours after both parties confirm handover you can raise a discrepancy against what the seller declared, at your cost. An inspection report showing a discrepancy opens the window straight away.

Founding-dealer places

The founding cohort is 25 dealerships.

See what you would bid on

Every car arrives as a Vehicle Passport: guided photos, the VIN-decoded spec, the owner's condition report and disclosed marks, the history summary and the reserve status. Open a demonstration one β€” the same screen an approved dealer sees, with a demonstration car.

Dealer questions

Who can apply?
Licensed California vehicle dealers. The application asks for nine details β€” your dealership, license, contact and lot β€” and is usually reviewed within one business day. Bank details, buying preferences, agreements and two-factor sign-in come after approval.
What is a founding dealer?
One of the first 25 dealerships we approve. Founding dealers get a first look at private-seller cars in Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego and pay no platform fee on your first completed purchase.
What does it cost?
Nothing to join and nothing to bid. A platform fee applies only when a purchase completes, from the published fee schedule on our pricing page, where the calculator shows the fee for any price. Founding dealers pay none on your first completed purchase.
How does bidding work?
Auctions run for 23 hours. You set a maximum and proxy bidding bids for you only as far as needed; your maximum is never shown to anyone. Each seller sets a private reserve.
Can the seller back out after the auction?
No. Once the seller accepts, the sale is binding and neither side can withdraw. You may propose a revised price after an inspection, but it only applies if the seller agrees to it β€” you cannot reduce the price on your own. Problems with the car go through the arbitration window.
What if the car is not as described?
You have 48 hours after both parties confirm handover to raise a discrepancy, at your cost. An optional inspection by an independent inspection company can open that window straight away. Optional pre-transport inspection with an independent inspection company is planned. Pricing and booking availability will be confirmed before purchase.
Who handles title and payment?
Nobody yet β€” that is still being arranged. Under our proposed terms our payment and title partner would hold your funds and release them to the seller after handover. We’re working towards payment processing through our payment and title partner. Final payment arrangements will be confirmed before transactions open.
